And she brought forthherfirstbornson,andwrappedhim in swaddling clothes, andlaidhimin a manger;because there wasnoroom for themin the inn.

And there werein the samecountryshepherds abiding in the field*, keepingwatch[a]overtheirflock by night.

And,lo, the angel of the Lord came uponthem,and the glory of the Lord shone round aboutthem:and they were soreafraid*.

And the angelsaid unto them,Fearnot:for,behold, I bringyou good tidings of greatjoy,which shall be to allpeople.

For unto you is born this dayin the city of David a Saviour,whichisChrist the Lord.

Andthis shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lyingin a manger.

Andsuddenly there waswith the angel a multitude of the heavenlyhostpraisingGod,andsaying,

Glory to Godin the highest,andonearthpeace, good willtowardmen.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone awayfromthemintoheaven*, the shepherds[b]*saidonetoanother, Let usnowgo even untoBethlehem,andseethisthing which is come to pass, whichtheLord hath made known unto us.

And they came with haste, and*foundMary,andJoseph,and the babelyingin a manger.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying*which was toldthemconcerningthischild.

Andall they that heard it wonderedat those things which were toldthem*by the shepherds.

ButMarykeptall these things*, and pondered them inherheart.

And the shepherdsreturned, glorifyingandpraisingGodfor all the thingsthat they had heardandseen, as it was tolduntothem.
