And in the fourteenth day of the first month
The month Nisan, as the Targum of Jonathan or Abib, which, upon the Israelites coming out of Egypt, and on that account, was made the first month; otherwise Tisri or September was the first month, see ( Exodus 12:2 ) ( 13:4 ) ,

[is] the passover of the Lord;
a feast in which a lamb was killed and eaten, in memory of the Lord's passing over the houses of the Israelites, when he slew the firstborn in Egypt; see ( Exodus 12:6 Exodus 12:18 Exodus 12:23 Exodus 12:27 ) .

14 And their drink-offerings shall be half a hin of wine for a bullock, and the third part of a hin for the ram, and the fourth part of a hin for a lamb: this is the burnt-offering of every month throughout the months of the year.
15 And one he-goat for a sin-offering unto Jehovah; it shall be offered besides the continual burnt-offering, and the drink-offering thereof.
16 And in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, is Jehovah's passover.
17 And on the fifteenth day of this month shall be a feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.
18 In the first day shall be a holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work;
