Acknowledgments
This commentary is evidence of God’s grace. I wouldn’t have completed this book apart from the Spirit’s strength and the help and encouragement of many people.
My “dear companion,” Kimberly, thank you for being my wife! I can’t imagine life without you. May the Lord grant us much grace as we seek to magnify him together.
My children—James, Joshua, Angela, Victoria, and Jana—thank you for making my life so adventurous and exciting! I pray you will grow up to make much of Jesus, like the believers in the book of Acts.
To the elders at Imago Dei Church, thank you for your encouragement. I treasure our friendships and partnership in sharing the gospel. May the Lord use us to shepherd the flock faithfully.
Members at Imago Dei, you’re a joy to pastor! What an incredible blessing it was to work through the book of Acts with you! May the Lord help us take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Cody Cunningham, thank you for your hard work in reading through this document and providing editorial improvements. May the Lord bless you as you continue your studies.
Catherine Ridley, thank you for your help with the bibliography. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you.
Ben Palka, thank you for your hard work on parts of this commentary. You’re a wonderful brother, a dear friend, and a fine expositor. May the Lord use you mightily in the years ahead.
Joey Dodson, thank you for your encouragement. I thank God that you took your sabbatical in my neighborhood while I was expounding Acts! Your insights and support helped me and ministered to me. May the Lord continue to bless you as you minister the Word in your home, in the academy, and in the church.
To all those cited in this commentary, I also say thank you for your labor in the Word. I couldn’t have written this book without standing on the shoulders of so many faithful expositors.
And finally, risen King, Jesus, I thank you. Apart from you, we have no life. Apart from you, we can do nothing. Please use this commentary to build up your blood-bought church and to advance your never-ending kingdom.
