24:2-4 The fact that Abraham refused to allow his son to marry a woman from Canaan does not make him an ethnic elitist. Rather, the sinfulness of the peoples of Canaan, especially their idolatry, was repugnant to the Lord and thus also to Abraham, the man of faith (15:6).
