20:7 David was confident of victory because he did not trust in military might (33:16-18) but in the āname of the LORD our God.ā Since the ānameā refers to the attributes (Ex 34:5-7; Is 9:6), the object of Davidās faith was the person and works of Yahweh. The word translated ātake prideā is literally ākeep in remembrance, make mention of, ponderāāhe built his confidence by meditating on the nature of God.
