117:1 The worship of the Lord by all nations and all peoples conveys a universal outlook consistent with the return of Christ (22:27; 63:4; 113:1; 135:1; 145:4; 147:12; Rv 19-21). Glorify (Hb shibbach) occurs only seven other times in the OT.
117:2 Faithful love denotes the enduring qualities of the Lord’s chesed (Hb for “covenant loyalty”; 25:10; 57:3,10; 85:10; 89:15; see word study at 136:1-26). Hallelujah! is literally “Praise Yah” (104:35; 105:45; 106:1).
